Memorial garden

Deciding where ashes should rest is often harder than arranging the funeral itself, and there is no need to hurry it. Some families keep them at home for years; others want a fixed place with a name on it, somewhere they can call in on without making a journey of it.

Our garden is planted for quiet rather than display, with benches, a low stone wall and beds kept through the year by us. Interments are made by our own staff at a time of your choosing, and you are welcome to be present or to leave it with us. Nothing here is on a lease that expires without warning — if a memorial ever needs renewing or cleaning, we will write to you first.

Our Memorial Garden and Gallery, a unique space for remembrance, was envisioned in 2009 as a way to enhance the area behind our Wood Street premises. Initially, we planned a simple lawn with a few flower beds and plaques on the boundary wall, offering a local space for families, especially those who had loved ones cremated away from home.



As plans evolved, it grew into the beautiful and serene facility we are proud of today. Open 365 days a year from 11am to 5pm, we welcome visitors to take a peaceful moment of reflection in our tranquil surroundings.



This facility, part of our funeral services in Rotherham, offers a meaningful way to honor and remember loved ones, with options available through our funeral directors in Rotherham and Mexborough.

Our opening times are 8:00am – 6:00pm between 1st October – 31st March and 8:00am – 9:00pm between 1st April – 30th September
