GUIDANCE

Dressing the deceased

How your loved one is cared for, dressed and presented in our chapel of rest — and the choices that are yours to make.

Your loved one is cared for at our own premises in Swinton, by our own staff. Nobody is moved elsewhere and nobody unfamiliar is involved.

Many families bring in clothing of their own choosing — a favourite outfit, a suit, a nightdress, a football shirt. If you would prefer, we provide a simple gown. Jewellery, glasses, photographs, letters and small keepsakes can all be placed with your loved one, and we will tell you clearly what can be kept on and what must be returned to you.
